Biased…????

The Tokina 16-28 2.8 is just as sharp and faster plus less expensive. Unlike with the Canon’s other F2.8, this is sharp at 2.8. The Canon F4 or F2.8 versions need to stop down for optimum IQ. Since I switched, my images are more consistently accepted by Explore (in flickr). That difference convinced me because it’s sampling based on popularity of the composition by photogs, not just some dime a dozen singular opinion

But I was surprised to see no primes on your list, nor any off-brand options like Tamron SP series or Sigma Art – both making amazing lenses.

The minimum F4 is not an issue when doing landscape and with a high res camera, it helps to reframe.
I can use it way more often than the 16-35 when space is super narrow. Buy once, get twice the usage.

The Pentax 18-135mm lens is an extremely good lens for landscape photography, but like steveb stated – no mention of Pentax (or others) and probably because they don’t put money into the pockets of those who review and write these articles. I read most of the DPS posts and articles that come my way, but have learned to take them with a grain of salt.
